"notes": "MassLive reported, in an article by Irene Rotondo republished by Governing on 22 September 2026, that Boston's annual surveillance report outlines how Boston police had launched short-term pilot programmes with Motorola and Axon after ending a Flock Safety trial. It says the pilots include 45 Motorola ALPR cameras that started in February and about 30 Axon ALPR cameras that began on 1 June, and describes both trials as continuing, with no end date given. The Motorola pilot has its own record.",
