"notes": "The Federal Government's answer of 30 January 2026 to an AfD minor interpellation (Drucksache 21/3960, 2 February 2026) states that the Bundespolizei uses cameras for automated number plate recognition, alongside video surveillance cameras at railway stations and airports which are not AI-based. The answer gives no locations, numbers, vendor or start date, and says the Bundespolizei reports no other surveillance technologies in test or use. It also refers to the earlier intelligent video analysis test at Berlin Südkreuz station and says any live deployment would need a specific legal basis that meets the EU AI Act.",
