"notes": "New York Focus reported, in an article by Jie Jenny Zou republished by Route Fifty on 30 July 2026, that the New York State Police do not appear at all in the state's AI inventory, whose first results were published on 30 December 2025 with 13 of roughly 100 agencies reporting 19 programs. A State Police spokesperson said in an email that the department uses Dataminr 'for notifications only, not for criminal investigations', but did not set out which other programs with AI components the agency uses. The article says the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services also uses Dataminr and that only that agency's use appears in the inventory. The article does not describe the product's features, give a start date or say how the State Police use the alerts.",
