"notes": "The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Minister of the Interior told the Landtag (Drucksache 8/332, answer dated 9 March 2022) that the state police use a 'NN-Toolkit' developed in the Digital Service and Competence Centre project at the Landeskriminalamt. It is based on Google's open-source TensorFlow and supports the review of image data and the search for image similarities, for example series of photographs, to reduce manual effort. The answer says it is used only occasionally in digital forensics and that no budget for AI support of police processes was planned or committed. The same answer says no AI is currently used to analyse child sexual abuse material and that the commercial tool Griffeye was under consideration but not decided. The answer is from March 2022; no later source was found, so current use is not confirmed.",
