"notes": "Journal du Net (17 March 2025), interviewing Gendarmerie digital strategy director General Marc Boget and the head of the ANFSI DataLab, describes the automatic categorisation of child sexual abuse images, which sorts the 100,000 to 200,000 images typically seized from a suspect so that investigators can set aside material such as landscape photographs and prioritise analysis. It says the system, \"déjà déployé\", relieves investigators at the Centre national d'analyse des images pédopornographiques (CNAIP), a Gendarmerie centre. An earlier Journal du Net interview (16 July 2024) with General Patrick Perrot, the Gendarmerie's AI coordinator, said an in-house application called OPID, which helps investigators spot child sexual abuse images when analysing a hard drive, was then \"en expérimentation\" at the same centre; the March 2025 article does not name the tool. No vendor, start date or legal basis is given.",
