"notes": "WHYY reported on 30 July 2026 that Wilmington had four Flock licence plate readers donated by a nonprofit, as well as a handful of readers from other vendors, and that the mayor's deputy chief of staff, Daniel Walker, said the city was decommissioning the donated Flock cameras, citing the controversy around them and the city having no contract with the company. Walker said the cameras had helped identify vehicles tied to crimes and recover missing children, and that the city does not take part in immigration enforcement. Delaware Public Media reported on 19 August 2026 that the four Flock cameras had recently been decommissioned and are no longer being used in the city, and that the city still uses one plate reader from another vendor; it does not say whether the cameras were physically removed or give a date. The start date of Wilmington's Flock use is not given in the sources.",
