"notes": "Police Professional reported on 29 January 2020 that facial recognition software was trialled at the Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield in 2018. British Land, which owns Meadowhall, said it ran two short trials, and South Yorkshire Police said Meadowhall told it of the plan and that it supported the trials to understand the technology. The article says it was understood that the force supplied photographs of three serious offenders and a vulnerable missing person. British Land said it had no current plans to use the technology at its sites, that trial data was deleted after each session, and that it had not put up signs warning visitors. The then Surveillance Camera Commissioner, Tony Porter, asked to meet the force's chief constable. The article does not give exact trial dates.",
