"notes": "The DHS 2025 AI Use Case Inventory (entry DHS-2759, as consolidated by the Office of Management and Budget) lists 'Open-Source Intelligence for Investigations' as deployed. The entry says the platforms use pre-trained language and other models to produce flagged risk alerts, extracted identifiers, image and sentiment classification and suggested investigative leads from public online data, and that they do not perform biometric identification, autonomous targeting or automated enforcement, with mandatory human review. It lists race or ethnicity, sex and age among demographic features and cites the November 2024 ICE social media Privacy Impact Assessment. DHS classes the use as not high-impact.",
