"notes": "Il Post (9 March 2025) reports that Cerbero is a camera with front and rear lenses mounted on Rome's local police patrol cars that, in the article's words, \"funziona con l'intelligenza artificiale\", detecting violations such as double parking, irregular parking and parking on pavements in real time and sending them to officers' tablets; officers can check the vehicle's owner, insurance and inspection status against the motor vehicle database, and the data go to the Prosa system that prepares fines. It says the system was tested in November 2024 and installed in December 2024 on 20 patrol cars, and reports figures given by the deputy commander, Donatella Scafati: 83,000 fines in January 2025, 70,000 of them for irregular parking, and about 25,000 fines a week from Cerbero. HDmotori (20 November 2024), reporting a video shared by Mayor Roberto Gualtieri, says the device reads licence plates and checks them against databases, that \"sarà l'agente e non l'AI a decidere\" whether to issue a fine, that faces in the images are automatically obscured, and that 20 units had been distributed to the territorial groups and the traffic rapid-response group. Autoblog (13 October 2025) says Cerbero scans plates, that every fine is validated by an officer, and gives fine totals for 2025 without citing their source. The vendor is not named; The Florentine (21 May 2026) reports that the system was originally developed under the name Cerbero and is now called Guardium.",
