"notes": "Cheshire's Police and Crime Commissioner announced on 13 May 2025 that an AI capability is being developed in Cheshire to identify complex stalking behaviours at an early stage. It would review incident reports created by call handlers while speaking to victims and flag possible stalking cases, including those that do not use the word 'stalking', to the force's Harm Reduction Unit, which currently reviews incidents manually. It is described as trained on information from the Harm Reduction Unit and the Suzy Lamplugh Trust. The announcement says the Commissioner, Dan Price, made a 'successful £300,000 bid' to the Police STAR (Science, Technology, Analysis and Research) Fund; Police Professional (14 May 2025) reports the same. No supplier, pilot date or go-live date is given, and the sources do not describe governance or evaluation arrangements. The Commissioner says he hopes it will be adopted nationally if it proves to work in Cheshire. No later source has been found saying whether the tool has been piloted or brought into use.",
