Update, November 2026. The B.C. RCMP's news release of 17 March 2026, "The BC RCMP's body worn camera roll-out continues", states that the Draft One pilot "started in August 2025 and finished in January 2026" at eight detachments with 380 potential users, that about 800 reports were written with the tool, that members must review and amend the AI-generated drafts, and that "early feedback suggests an opportunity for time-savings" with a quantitative analysis still in progress. It adds that the pilot sites "will continue the usage of Draft One at this time until the RCMP reviews outputs from the quantitative analysis", and the release also says the B.C. RCMP is currently piloting the tool. The earlier record treated the status as paused because no decision had been published; neither the release nor the Canadian Press report of 15 April 2026 says use was suspended, so the status is corrected to trial. The RCMP told CTV News the tool "remains under review". No decision on wider adoption or ending the pilot has been published.
