Between 20 July and 24 July, Delhi Police's facial recognition system identified nearly 400 individuals with previous criminal records near the Jantar Mantar protest site in central Delhi. The detections were made using surveillance cameras installed around the venue—where a demonstration was organised by the Cockroach Janata Party—and in nearby areas. Investigators are examining CCTV footage, social media content, and suspect movements to establish whether any of those flagged were involved in violence and vandalism in the New Delhi district on 20 July. The inquiry aims to establish the individuals' locations during the clashes and connect them to specific incidents of damage to public property. Among the individuals currently under scrutiny as part of the investigation are suspects identified as Sahil, Manoj Kumar, Rubal, and Sahil Saifi.
