Thames Valley Police deployed a live facial recognition team alongside a neighbourhood policing team in Amersham Town Centre on 30 June. The operation involved officers and vans stationed in the area in an effort to reduce local crime. Although no outstanding persons were identified during the deployment, the force noted that members of the public engaged with officers to ask about the technology. A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police thanked everyone who spoke with the team during the operation.
