Designed to resemble an official communication, the fraudulent document alleged that individuals present in prohibited areas around Jantar Mantar and Connaught Place were identified using CCTV footage and a Facial Recognition System. It instructed recipients to submit a written explanation within 48 hours, forbade them from leaving the National Capital Territory of Delhi without prior permission, and claimed their devices were under round-the-clock location surveillance. Denying the authenticity of the document, the police urged the public to rely only on official communication channels and refrain from forwarding unverified messages.
