The head of GCHQ has warned UK businesses to urgently strengthen their cyber security as artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes national threats. Speaking at Bletchley Park, Anne Keast-Butler said the UK and its allies face a narrowing window to stay ahead on technology. She cautioned that the risk of miscalculation is at its highest point in three decades. Keast-Butler urged company directors to act immediately, framing cybersecurity as a matter of national defence rather than an IT concern. Her intervention follows similar warnings from the National Cyber Security Centre over fast-moving AI developments and geopolitical tensions.
