Women who served in the British armed forces have described facing a toxic culture of routine sexual abuse where complaints were ignored. Two female veterans said they had lost count of the number of times they were sexually assaulted while serving. One woman with decades of Army service stated that the abuse was at its worst among senior ranks. Nearly two thirds of servicewomen have experienced sexualised behaviour during their service.
