Image geolocation tools take a single photograph, including one taken indoors, and match its visual details against large collections of street imagery and property listings to suggest where it was taken.

Police use is investigative: locating a victim, a suspect or a scene from an image posted online. The risks are misidentification of a property, and the ease with which the same capability can locate anyone who posts a photo of their home.

Graylark Technologies markets Raven to police. Reporting in October 2026 named the Los Angeles Police Department and the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office as having bought access.
