Notes
Palantir announced on 15 December 2025 a three-year renewal of its contract with the DGSI to supply its software platform with integration and support services (a company release); LCP (27 May 2026) reports that the DGSI chose Palantir in 2016 to strengthen counter-terrorism work and that this was the third renewal, after 2019 and 2022. LCP quotes Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez telling a National Assembly hearing on 27 May 2026 that French operators could not meet the DGSI's specification ("C'est vraiment un problème technique"), that funding was not the issue and that the aim remains sovereign tools, and reports that a tender for a French tool for processing heterogeneous data (OTDH), which it dates to 2022, had produced no candidate matching Palantir. On 16 June 2026 Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced that the DGSI would leave Palantir for the French company ChapsVision (Boursorama, 16 June 2026); Le Monde Informatique (16 June 2026), IT-Connect (19 June 2026) and ChapsVision's own release of 16 June 2026 say its Argonos platform won the OTDH procurement's first lot, on data preparation, at the end of 2024 and its second, on modelling, securing and visualising data, in June 2026 (ChapsVision dates the call for tenders to 2021). IT-Connect says Palantir's tools will remain in service until the French solution is fully integrated, quoting the Prime Minister's office on using this phase to train teams and prepare the migration, and Le Monde Informatique says the transition will take time; no end date has been given. NGOs and some political parties criticise the contract over mass surveillance and data protection (LCP), and none of these sources describes which features the DGSI uses.
