Notes
The Italian Interior Ministry's list of operations funded by the EU Internal Security Fund (ISF) 2021-2027, updated 7 January 2026, includes "S.W.O.A.D.S. 2 - Stolen Works of Art Detection System 2", an operation of the Arma dei Carabinieri costing €8,151,125 and starting on 19 June 2024. It extends the Carabinieri's existing S.W.O.A.D.S. system "con l'introduzione di nuove funzionalità di riconoscimento dei beni mediante Intelligenza Artificiale" (with the introduction of new functions for recognising the goods by means of artificial intelligence).
The list does not say whether the AI functions are yet in use, so the record is shown as proposed. No supplier is named. No technology page fits this system yet.
