The Italian Interior Ministry's list of operations funded by the EU Internal Security Fund (ISF) 2021-2027, updated 7 January 2026, includes "ROV/IA", an operation of the Arma dei Carabinieri costing €1.5 million and running from 16 September 2024 to 30 June 2027. It is to provide software "dotato di algoritmi di intelligenza artificiale per la ricerca di oggetti definiti su grandi quantità di dati video" (equipped with artificial intelligence algorithms for searching large quantities of video data for defined objects).
