Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar has outlined a technology-driven strategy to transition the force towards intelligence-led, data-driven enforcement. The initiative incorporates Artificial Intelligence, enhanced cybercrime prevention, smarter traffic management, and a specialised Anti-Adulteration Unit to tackle emerging threats like AI-powered scams, drug abuse, and food adulteration. Operating alongside the Food Safety Department, the new Anti-Adulteration Unit aims to dismantle organised networks involved in food adulteration and secure strong legal action against offenders. Furthermore, a major reorganisation of the commissionerate has reduced workloads for individual police stations, clarified jurisdictional boundaries, and improved emergency response times.
