Cybercriminals are targeting Windows users with malware disguised as artificial intelligence learning guides and developer resources. Security researchers at Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs found booby-trapped files, including a fake coding guide, that secretly install the AsyncRAT trojan. The attack uses trusted system tools and legitimate automation software to run quietly in the background while displaying a harmless decoy document. Diana Kelley, chief information security officer at Noma Security, urged organisations to treat downloaded training assets as part of the software supply chain.
