The availability of AI-powered cybercrime tools on underground markets surged by over 3,800 per cent in recent months. An analysis by security firm Halcyon found mentions of the technology jumped from 38 in December to 1,486 in February. Researchers tracked thousands of entries across dark web forums, Telegram channels, and specialised marketplaces. Cynthia Kaiser, a former FBI deputy cyber director, said the tools now offer automated distribution, freemium options, and tiered pricing. She told the Infosecurity Europe conference that tackling these remote threats is a major national security challenge.
