The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann following allegations that a forged forensic report was used to claim a controversial video was artificial intelligence (AI) generated. The video allegedly depicts a man resembling Mann engaging in acts offensive to Sikh sentiments, leading the Akal Takht Sahib to declare the footage authentic and condemn the Chief Minister. Haryana Police launched an investigation after a Sikh man alleged that two senior Punjab Police officers offered him Rs 10 lakh to fabricate a forensic report declaring the footage fake and AI-generated. Mann has denied being the person in the video, maintaining it was fake, and claimed that the owners of forensic laboratories involved in preparing a report were attacked by the BJP.
