Notes
The Justice Department's 2025 AI use case inventory (entry DOJ-0163, as consolidated by the Office of Management and Budget) lists 'Static-99 Sex Offender Data System (SODS)' as deployed. The entry says Static-99 is one data point in a ten-point manual process for assessing a sex offender's risk of recidivism, and that the tool scores risk with pre-defined rules. It gives an operational date of December 2006 and classes the use as high-impact.
