The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on 15 September 2026 that, at the direction of Mayor Andre Dickens, department leaders audited the police department's Flock use in 2026. Of 115,578 searches audited, about 79 (0.07 per cent) were flagged for additional review; the city said a flag does not necessarily mean a policy violation. Police Chief Darin Schierbaum expected the follow-up investigation to finish within 60 days. WSB-TV reported on 20 September 2026 that the mayor proposed permanent rules including monthly audits of Flock use, to go to City Council; the department does not publicly share how many cameras are in the city.
