SoundThinking announced a three-year renewal covering 7 square miles during the second quarter of 2026. The renewal is a company statement.
Update, November 2026. Macon-Bibb County reported on 17 September 2021 that the Commission unanimously appropriated $1.97 million of American Rescue Plan funds for an agreement with ShotSpotter. 13WMAZ reported that the system was due to go live on Thursday 24 February (2022), and WGXA reported on 30 June 2023 that the devices cover about 7 of the county's 255 square miles under a four-year, $2 million contract, with more than 8,000 shots detected in the first year. The 2026 renewal described above is still known only from the vendor's press release; no commission record of it was found.
