Notes
The Justice Department's 2025 AI use case inventory (entry DOJ-0005, as consolidated by the Office of Management and Budget) lists 'Axon FUSUS (via HIDTA partners)' as deployed. The entry says the capability is not provided or managed by ATF: ATF staff have access to Axon Fusus systems run by High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) partner agencies, which integrate video and other data and send configurable real-time notifications from AI-enabled analysis of video streams. It gives an operational date of January 2024 and classes the use as high-impact.
