The Justice Department's 2025 AI use case inventory (entry DOJ-0038, as consolidated by the Office of Management and Budget) lists 'Thomson Reuters Vigilant Vehicle Manager' as deployed. The entry says the tool organises and correlates large volumes of licence plate and vehicle sighting data and highlights recurring patterns for review. It says ATF 'has no role in training or managing AI capabilities which are incidental to providing the service', lists Motorola as vendor and an operational date of September 2020, and classes the use as high-impact.
