In a freedom of information response (reference 2656518/25, October 2025) West Yorkshire Police described "Face Reveal" as a tool it is exploring "to provide potential matches of supplied CCTV images before searching PNLD using its built in Facial recognition", and said it was "currently in Development and assessment". The response does not expand "PNLD" and does not say who develops the tool. It names no supplier and gives no dates, and says that the force has procured no specific AI tools or services and that any AI capability comes from existing tools.
