Notes

The DHS 2025 AI Use Case Inventory (entry DHS-2552, as consolidated by the Office of Management and Budget) lists 'Mobile Device Forensics for Investigations' as pre-deployment, with no operational date. The entry says the platform would suggest category tags for extracted media and apps, decode app artefacts such as chats, contacts and locations, and predict whether a media file was captured on the extracted device or came from elsewhere. DHS presumed the use high-impact and determined it is not.
