Notes
The DHS 2025 AI Use Case Inventory (entry DHS-2595, as consolidated by the Office of Management and Budget) lists 'Open-Source Intelligence for Lead Identification and Targeting' as pre-deployment, with no operational date. The entry says the platform would use AI modules to assist Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in open-source research: risk extraction that flags references to criminal activity or organisations of concern in documents, AI translation and image analysis that detects objects, producing annotations for analysts to review. DHS presumed the use high-impact and determined it is not.
