Notes
The DHS 2025 AI Use Case Inventory (entry DHS-38, as consolidated by the Office of Management and Budget) lists 'Vessel Detection' as deployed. The entry says AI analyses camera images to detect and track small vessels entering and leaving waterways, sending alerts and tracks to operator workstations for review. It names Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as vendor and gives an operational date of 28 July 2025. DHS presumed the use high-impact and determined it is not.
