Notes

The DHS 2025 AI Use Case Inventory (entry DHS-2399, as consolidated by the Office of Management and Budget) lists 'Electronic Evidence/Video Recording Transcription and Summarization Tool' as pre-deployment, with no operational date. The entry says the tool, classed as generative AI, would transcribe audio and video evidence and produce a printable record that TSA staff review and certify, to cut investigative processing time. It also says TSA uses body-worn cameras whose software includes AI that transcribes and translates footage, giving rapid access to law enforcement officer and investigative data; the entry does not explain how this fits its pre-deployment stage. DHS classes it as high-impact.
