Notes
The Justice Department's 2025 AI use case inventory (entry DOJ-0233, as consolidated by the Office of Management and Budget) lists 'Open Source Investigative Tool' as deployed. The entry says the tool is used for authorised investigative lead generation, with a recommendation as output. It gives an operational date of May 2024, gives the vendor only as 'Vendor proprietary' and classes the use as high-impact. It says little else.
